PARK RIDES:

24 hours notice for cancellations OR THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS for last minute cancellations with a full charge.

Please read special notes on restrictions of park rides and booking.

A. The standard carriage ride through Central Park is $40 for about 17 minutes. Views of Woolman Skating Ring, Carousel, Pond, Zoo, Sheep’s Meadow, Mall (statues), Dairy (tourist information center) and the Dakota (where the ex-Beatle John Lennon lived) can be seen while on this excursion. The length of this trip is one mile. Impromptu rides only! *Please Do Not call us to book this ride. (Max 4 people-59/5th Ave).

B. A lengthier ride is also provided for forty minutes (Please call for price). Included is everything on the standard ride. In addition, you see Balto, The Summer Stage (Rumsey Playfield), The Bandshell, The Conservatory Water, The Boathouse, The Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, Cherry Hill, the Lake, Strawberry Fields, Tavern on the Green, Columbus Circle, and Trump International Hotel and Tower. This trip covers over a two and a half mile area. Reservations Mandatory!

C. We then have a ride for approximately one (1) hour (Please call for price). This ride includes both A & B. In addition, the carriage ride exits the Park in front the Dakota and The Strawberry Fields and then commences to go up Central Park West and past The New York Historical Society and re-enters the Park passing The Museum of Natural History, continues with a beautiful excursion along the lake and ends at 59/7th Ave. The total length of this sightseeing trip is approximately three miles. Reservations Mandatory!

D. An extended C ride, which goes up Central Park West past the Museum of Natural History, Hayden Planetarium, re-enters Central Park at 85^th street and Central Park West.. This a 4 mile ride approximately 80 minutes. Please call for price and availability. Reservations Mandatory!

E. A World Class ride. 843 acres, 6.5 miles through Central Park, in addition to everything on the B ride you see, Balto, Conservatory Pond, The Boathouse, Metropolitan Art Museum, Great Lawn, Reservoir, East Meadow, North Meadow, Lasker Rink, Harlem Meer, Great Hill, The Lake, Strawberry Fields, and finishes up as the “B” ride. Reservations Mandatory! (Not available above 80 degrees or during the Holiday's. Time slots only Mon-Thurs. 10AM or 11AM) (ride approximately 3 hours, bring drinks and snacks)

Weekends are peak hours, Mon-Thur peak hours are 940PM-Midnight-NO reservations accepted during those times.

ENGAGEMENTS: The "B" ride (above) is our engagement ride. It goes through "Cherry Hill" which is a secluded alcove overlooking the lake. Additionally it passes Strawberry Fields and Tavern on the Green. You can propose at any of these locations, all are appropriate. If you want the driver to stop at these places you must ask the driver to stop.*New.......We can now have a musician meet you before ,during or after your ride..

Primarily Saxophone, or Guitar players, others upon request. $100- per appearance!

STREET RIDES:

A. Street rides may be arranged but there are strict regulations, please call Manhattan Carriage Co. for more information. No rides in the streets are given during business week days.

1. Pick-up and delivery may be arranged on certain street rides. This type of service is generally costly.

2. Street rides are based on round trip fares. Not just one way. The carriage will have to be accommodated to a work area after you have taken a ride away from a work area.

3. Unfortunately, carriages cannot go in the streets from 23rd Street to 59th Street until after 9 p.m. weeknights (this is only east of 7th Avenue/West of 7th Avenue would be after 11:30 p.m.). . Weekends are somewhat restricted: a few restrictions on Saturdays and Sundays.

BOOKINGS:

A. You may book a ride using a major credit card. You may call in if you do not feel comfortable sending your credit card numbers via e-mail. We ask that you to please call us 72 hours or more in advance to book a ride.

B. All charges for pick-up and delivery are based on the actual distance the horse has to pull the carriage. Also, taken into consideration is the time lost 15-20 minutes prior to your booking in which the driver is unable to secure rides with other customers.

C. To book off-line please call Manhattan Carriage Co. between the hours of 10AM-2PM & 6PM -8PM (Mon-Sun) EST. All reservations held with Visa, MasterCard, AX.,Discover. We need exact name on card, #, expiration date and a local calling number or cell phone. We will then follow-up with your driver's name and cell phone number, carriage description, and meet at 59th street/7th Ave. *****If you give us a bad credit card number we may refuse to honor your reservation.*****

SURCHARGES:

A. Prices include pick up charges at 59th street and 7th Avenue only.

B. By meeting you the driver have used up fifteen minutes of his time (this is part of the service). But if you are fifteen minutes late, there will be a surcharge of $20. If you do not call or show-up for your carriage ride, you will be billed a minimum of $44. More if there is a pickup involved.

1. A. You may cancel (48) Fourty-Eight hours prior to a prearranged ride without cancellation penalty. . You may change the pick-up time or meeting place within one (1) hour providing there are no conflicts with other rides.

C. Valentines Day NO Cancellations-Full charges will incur! No exceptions, no excuses. No bookings accepted unless our "Basic Bookings Agreement" is signed and faxed back to us at 212 581 8257. We can email the form to you, or Fax to you upon request.

1. Late charge - Whether you reserve one carriage or ten, late charges are $20 per 1/4 hour interval for each carriage.

2. Credit card users over $40 - A surcharge of 5% will be added for handling fees. We highly recommend cash.

3. Peak hour surcharge 50%- Mon-Fri 9:30PM - Midnight, Sat 9AM-7PM, and 9:30PM to Midnight, Sunday til 7PM

REGULATIONS:

A. All rides are subject to New York City rules and regulations and ordinances:

1. Summer regulations - No carriage may operate above 89 degrees. (We suggest you watch the weather reports during the summer months. Often the authorities will send the carriages home at 87 degrees.)

2. Winter regulations - No carriage may operate below 19 degrees. or during Blizzards.

3. Police blockades or visits from important political figures visiting New York City may cause streets to be closed down. If the carriage is unable to gain access to your pick-up point, Manhattan Carriage Co. cannot take responsibility.

4. Four (4) adults per carriage, or: 3 adults & 2 kids under the age of 12, or: 1 adult & 4 kids under the age of 12.

5. Weekday rides start at 10AM, Weekends start at 8AM

6. Prearranged rides start at 59/7th.ave.All others start at 5,6,7,or 8th avenues- If we tell you 59/7th and you go to another location for any reason whatsoever you will be charged for the time it takes us to track you down.

7. Night rides go until at least 1AM or 2AM.

Please Note:
1. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we only accept limited prearranged rides from Thanksgiving through New Years. Also, we cannot accept Prearranged Rides at the following times and days:
(a) Friday 9:00 PM - 1230 AM, (b) Saturday -Day & Night, and (c) Sunday 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
2. (For Weddings - We service the Tri-state area with a White carriage and White horse) (carriages can close completely or remain a convertible.)
3. You have read our basic rules and regulations, thereby comprehend them and note that you will be billed in accordance with these rules and regulations.
